Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: FOOTWALL IS ALTERED SCHIST AND IN SOME PLACES, SLATE. THE HANGING WALL IS BLACK SLATE, ALTERED AND IRON STAINED NEAR THE VEIN.

Comment (Deposit): COMPRISED OF 180 ACRES.

Comment (Production): PRODUCED COPPER IN EARLY DAYS: GOLD DURING 1890'S : PRODUCTION $460,000 IN 1918 MOSTLY IN GOLD.

Comment (Workings): 400 FT. VERTICAL SHAFT WITH 3 LEVELS AT 70 , 200 AND 400 FT. THE 200 FT. LEVEL HAS BEEN DRIVEN NORTH 275 FT. AND SOUTH 175 FT., THE 400 FT. LEVEL, NORTH FOR 245 FT. AND SOUTH 250 FT.

Comment (Deposit): CHARACTER OF DEPOSIT IS CRUSHED AND BRECCIATED SHEAR ZONES IN SLATES AND SCHISTS NEAR CONTACT OF SLATES AND META-ANDESITE. NO WELL-DEFINED VEINS, BUT PARALLEL STRINGERS OF QTZ. AND CALCITE OCCUR. DECOMPOSED AND ALTERED ROCKS ARE IRON-STAINED, GOLD OCCURS IN NARROW SEAMS AND POCKETS CONTAINING LIMONITE AND MANGANESE OXIDE. TWO PARALLEL ZONES 20 - 30 FT. APART.
