Comment GEOL.DESC: ORE IS A BED OR SERIES OF LENSES ENCLOSED IN THICK BEDDED RED CHERT, AND INTERCALATED WITH GREEN METATUFF AND METAVOLCANICS. THE CHERT OF THE AMADOR GROUP IS UNDERLAIN BY GREENSTONE OR PILLOW BASALT. ORE CONSISTS OF BOTRYOIDAL PSILOMELANE AND SOOTY PYROLUSITE. BEDS ARE CUT BY SMALL TRANSVERSE FAULTS.
