Comment (Location): IN SOLOMON GULCH 1 MI. W OF BLACK BART MINE IN SEC 27 . SE 1/4 28 ? NE 1/4 33 ? UTM EST.
Comment (Commodity): THE HIGH GRADE POCKETS TEND TO OCCUR WHERE THE VEIN IS ENTIRELY IN SLATE AND WHERE THERE IS ABUNDANT CALCITE. THE PRINCIPAL ORE SHOOT MINED IS SAID TO HAVE AVERAGED MORE THAN $115/TON.
Comment (Production): PRODUCED SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS WORTH OF GOLD FROM NEAR-SURFACE POCKETS IN 1880'S AND 1890'S; OPERATED IN 1908 AND IN LATE 1930'S AND IN 1940. ORE SHOOT MINED 1937-1940 CONTAINED 225 TONS OF ORE WHICH RAN SLIGHTLY MORE THAN 3.5 OZ. OF GOLD AND 0.75 OZ. SILVER PER TON.

Comment (Workings): A 200-FT. ADIT PENETRATES VEIN TO VERTICAL DEPTH OF 70 FT.
Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: VEIN, FEW IN TO SEVERAL FT. BETWEEN CONTACT OF HANGING WALL SLATE & MASSIVE GREENSTONE. FOOTWALL: RICHEST ORE SHOOT WAS 40 - 50 FT. WIDE AND 110 FT. ALONG DIP OF VEIN. VEIN ACCOMPANIED IN PLACES BY ALBITITE & DIORITE DIKES SIMILAR TO OTHER MINES IN THE CAT TOWN AND FLYAWAY DISTRICTS.
