Comment THE HIGH GRADE POCKETS TEND TO OCCUR WHERE THE VEIN IS ENTIRELY IN SLATE AND WHERE THERE IS ABUNDANT CALCITE. THE PRINCIPAL ORE SHOOT MINED IS SAID TO HAVE AVERAGED MORE THAN $115/TON.

Comment PRODUCED SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS WORTH OF GOLD FROM NEAR-SURFACE POCKETS IN 1880'S AND 1890'S; OPERATED IN 1908 AND IN LATE 1930'S AND IN 1940. ORE SHOOT MINED 1937-1940 CONTAINED 225 TONS OF ORE WHICH RAN SLIGHTLY MORE THAN 3.5 OZ. OF GOLD AND 0.75 OZ. SILVER PER TON.
