Comments

Comment (Location): INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)

Comment (Deposit): ORE OCCURED ALONG THRUST FAULT, AND IN TABULAR BODIES ALONG HIGH ANGLE FAULTS WHICH CUT BRECCIA. ORE WAS ASSOCIATED WITH N30-45W TRENDING, 60-90 NE DIPPING FRACTURES. ORE WAS MINED FROM 4 SHOOTS. THE LARGEST SHOOT WAS FARTHEST SOUTH.

Comment (Workings): SEVERAL SHAFTS, ADITS, CROSSCUTS, SURFACE TRENCHES, PITS, INCLINES

Comment (Geology): BRECCIA WAS FORMED ALONG A THRUST FAULT AND WAS LATER TILTED, NOW APPEARING TO BE NEAR VERTICLE. SOURCE OF TUFFS IS THOUGH TO BE SULTAN CRATER (MIO) AND WERE IMPLACED AFTER TILTING OCCURED. SLIGHTLY ANOMALOUS RADIO ACTIVITY IS ASSOCIATED WITH LIMONITE, HYDROZINLITE, AND CO MINERALS, BACKGROUND = 10 CPS, HIGH = 50 CPS.

Comment (Production): PRODUCTION WAS INTERMITTENT BETWEEN 1910 AND 1952.

Comment (Development): DRY CONCENTRATING MILL WAS ERECTED 1916. GREAT DEAL OF WORK WAS DONE 1917-1919; THEN SECOND PERIOD OF MINING 1937-1946.
