Comments

Comment (Deposit): THE MINE WAS MAINLY DEVELOPED BY SHALLOW, MOSTLY INCLINED SHAFTS, DRIFTS, AND CROSSCUTS TO A MAXIMUM DEPTH OF ABOUT 70 FEET, BUT MOST WORKINGS DO NOT EXCEED 30 FEET IN DEPTH.

Comment (Geology): THIS IS A DETACHMENT FAULT TYPE DEPOSIT. ALTERATION INCLUDES CHLORITIZATION. STRIKE IS N50W; DIP IS VARIABLE TO NE. ORE CONSISTS OF BRECCIATED FRAGMENTS OF COARSE-TEXTURED GRAYISH VEIN QUARTZ AND COUNTRY ROCK MORE OR LESS FIRMLY CEMENTED BY IRON OXIDE AND SILICA. HOST ROCK IS A PORPHYRITIC MONZOGRANITE.

Comment (Geology): MINERALS ALSO INCLUDE CERUSSITE AND FE AND MN(?) OXIDES.
