This page contains downloadable data sets for use with navigation devices, Google Earth, or for research purposes. The data source is the USGS MRDS database and contains records for mines of type “metallic” (does not include “non-metallic” mines). The data was sourced from the USGS in 2012. It should be assumed that all mines are on private property.
This page is available to Mines level members for an additional $40. These Colorado files contain the following data:
CSV and KML files containing the following data for all mines in each of 57 Colorado counties (13,388 total mines): Mine name, district, primary commodity (if available), latitude, longitude, MRDS mine ID.
More detail on our data products, and screenshots of sample data can be seen on our Premium Mine Data Downloads page.
