Comment (Deposit): VERY SMALL PEGMATITE

Comment (Deposit): Property also consistes of a granite pegmatite dike with some beryl (Bull. 71, p. 43).

Comment (Geology): "This pegmatite is in preCambrian shcist and ocntains chiefly quartz, microcline and muscovite, with accessory albite. Punhc and scrap quality mica is visible in a pit 25 ft to 30 ft long, 8 to 10 ft wide, and 3 to 4 ft deep. The dike trends N55W." (Bull. 50, p. 71). "Large garnets, some of which weigh over 2 lbs have been found in a biotite schist body near the Ione Prospect. Most crystals do not show good crystal faces and are not of gem quality." (Bull. 50 p. 76).
