Comment (Geology): THE OXIDIZED ORE IS LIGHT COLORED AND MOER FN'ABLE THAN MIOCIDIZED (BASE) ORE. IT LACKS SULFIDES AND CONTAINS SULFATES, INCLUDING GYPSUM, JAROSITE, SCORODITE, AND MALENTERITE. HALITE OCCURS WITH RALLOYSITE AND FLUROITE. THE LALITE IS LOOSE, WHITE, AND POORLY CRYSTALLINE. HALLOYSITE IS WHITE TO PINK THE HALITE AND HALLOYSITE ARE WELL EXPOSED OVER A WIDTH OF 6 FEET ON THE SOUTH WALL OF THE ADIT AND IN THE NORTH PORTION OF THE FACE.

Comment (Deposit): GOLD IS NOT VISIBLE IN THE ORES, AND IS CONCENTRATED IN THE CARBON-RICH PORTIONS OF THE ALTERED ZONES. MANY LIMESTONE BEDS ARE SILICIFIED TO JASPEROID. SHALES ARE LESS ALTERED AND SHOW LITTLE SENCITIZATION. THE ORE SHOOTS FOLLOW APPROXIMATELY THE INTERSECTION OF THE FISSURES WITH THE ORE BEDS. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 3 FIELD OBSERV
