Comments

Comment (Development): PRODUCTION ENDED BY 1960 OR 1961 BUT SOME CLAIMS WERE EXPLORED BY TUNNELS AND DIAMOND DRILLING AS LATE AS 1964

Comment (Production): GROSS (1965) REPORTS THAT 10,300 LB OF ORE MINED FROM COLLUVIUM IN 1956, FOLLOWED BY 500 LB ORE FROM SMALL MASS TO NW. THEN 42 TONS SCRAP MATERIAL AND ALLUVIUM WERE SHIPPED AT GRADE OF 4.39% V308. FINALLY 360 TONS BEDROCK ORE SHIPPED AT AVERAGE GRADE 0.55 TO 0.60% U308

Comment (Deposit): MOST HIGH-GRADE ORE REPLACED QUARTZ-FELDSPAR-BIOTITE SCHIST IN NE-TRENDING FAULT ZONE NEXT TO PEGMATITE. EARLY ORE SOLUTIONS, AIDED BY HEMATITIC ALTERATION, PRECIPITATED VEIN QUARTZ AND COLLOFORM PITCHBLENDE. AFTER FRACTURING AND BRECCIATION, SOLUTIONS DEPOSITED PITCHBLENDE AS BANDED OVERGROWTHS. TETRAHEDRITE THAT FILLED FRACTURES AND MATRIX ALTERED TO CU SULFIDES. SUPERGENE ALTERATION OF VEIN PITCHBLENDE PRODUCED SUITE OF SECONDARY URANIUM MINERALS DOMINATED BY SCHOEPITE. MINERALIZATION DECREASES WITH DEPTH IN FAULT ZONE. HIGH-GRADE ORE FIRST CAME FROM 6-FT-THICK REGOLITH OR COLLUVIUM OVERLYING BEDROCK.

Comment (Workings): ORIGINAL LOOKOUT 22 DEVELOPED BY OPEN PIT IN ALLUVIUM AND UNDERLYING BEDROCK, ON NEARBY LOOKOUT NO. 33, FIVE TUNNELS DRIVEN FROM 20 TO 600 FT IN LENGTH WITH SEVERAL HUNDRED FEET OF DRIFTS AND CROSSCUTS

Comment (Deposit): REMAINDER OF LOOKOUT BLOCK OF CLAIMS (15 THRU 34) LIES IN SE SEC. 21, S2 SEC. 22, E2 AND NW SEC. 27, NE SEC. 28, T48N, R6E ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT

Comment (Location): ON WEST SIDE OF HARRY CREEK 2 MILES WNW OF MARSHALL PASS ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1976

Comment (Commodity): BASE-METAL ORE MINERALS CONSIDERED AS OCCURRENCES
