Comment (Development): SITE WAS INVESTIGATED BY USBM AS POTENTIAL DOMESTIC SOURCE OF MO AS A RESULT OF STRATEGIC MINERALS ACT AND WW II DEFENSE NEEDS.

Comment (Deposit): EXACT NATURE OF DEPOSIT IS UNKNOWN BUT MOST LIKELY THE MINERALIZATION IS ASSOCIATED WITH VERTICAL EAST-WEST-TRENDING BASALT DIKE INTRUDING WASATCH FM. YEEND (1969) BELIEVES THE DIKE IS A FEEDER DIKE EQUIVALENT TO BASALT FLOWS ON GRAND AND BATTLEMENT MESAS. YEEND CITES K-AR DATE BY J.R. DONNELL OF 9.7 0.485 MY BP (PLIOCENE) FOR AGE OF FLOWS.
