Comment (Deposit): MINERALIZATION OCCURS IN THE CHLORITE SCHIST AS STRINGERS OF CHALCOPYRITE, PYRITE, AND QUARTZ WHICH EITHER PARALLEL OR CUT ACROSS THE FOLIATION. A FEW SMALL GASH VEINS, PERPENDICULAR TO FOLIATION, ARE FILLED WITH CHALCOPYRITE IN THE MIDDLE ADIT. THE DUMP MATERIAL FROM THE MIDDLE AND LOWER ADITS CONTAINS MINERALIZED MATERIAL VERY SIMILAR IN APPEARANCE TO MATERIAL FROM THE PECOS MINE. THIS MATERIAL IS COMPOSED OF ABOUT 30% SULFIDES: SPHALERITE, CHALCOPYRITE, PYRITE, PYRRHOTITE AND GALENA IN A CHLORITE-QUARTZ-TREMOLITE-ACTINOLITE MATRIX.

Comment (Workings): WORKINGS CONSIST OF ONE SHORT ADIT AND TWO LONG ADITS DRIVEN ALONG A SHEAR ZONE, AND SEVERAL PROSPECT PITS IN THE AREA.

Comment (Geology): THE PRECAMBRIAN META-VOLCANICS DO NOT HAVE A FORMAL NAME IN THIS AREA.

Comment (Location): LOCATION IS ACCURATE FOR A POINT MIDWAY BETWEEN THE TWO ADITS SHOWN ON THE ROSILLA PEAK QUADRANGLE. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1979
