Comment (Production): In 1980, Silver State Mining Co. was sampling and milling dump material at the Moose Mine that graded 0.03 oz/ton gold and 12 oz/ton silver.

Comment (Reserve-Resource): Dump material totals 83,000 tons that contain 1,000,000 oz. silver and 2,500 oz. gold. (1980, Sunshine files)

Comment (Commodity): Samples of dump material show grade of 0.03 oz/t gold, 12 oz/t silver. (1980, Sunshine files)

Comment (Geology): Replacement deposits in Leadville limestone beneath a porphyry sill.

Comment (Location): Mine is about 4-1/2 miles NW of Alma, on the NE side of Mount Bross, at an elevation of 13,700 feet, in the SW/4 sec. 22, T 8 S, R 78 W.

Comment (Production): The mine is credited with production of at least 5 million oz. of silver or $5 million.
