Comment (Development): THE LONDON MINE HAD BEEN WORKED BETWEEN 1874 AND THE 1940'S. REOPENED IN 1988 AFTER A DECADE OF REHABILITATION, EXPLORATION, AND DEVELOPMENT OF ORE RESERVES. CLOSED DOWN AGAIN IN JUNE 1989 BECAUSE OF LACK OF ECONOMICALLY RECOVERABLE ORE AND THE CONTINUED LOW PRICE OF ORE.
