Comment (Deposit): 3 VEINS, ALLIE BROWN, WAPPELLO, AND LA PLATA. THE ALLIE BROWN OUTCROPS 400 FT N OF THE SHAFT. ITS STRIKE IS WNW, ITS DIP IS NEARLY VERTICAL S. MAX. WIDTH IS 20 FT, IN PLACES IT INCLOSES LENS-SHAPED HORSES OF ALTERED GRANITE. THE WAPPELO VEIN CONSISTS OF A NUMBER OF CLOSE PARALLEL VEINS. MAXIMUM WIDTH OF 15 FT, DIP IS 55-70 S. THE LA PLATA LODE CONSISTS OF A NUMBER OF SHORT CONNECTING VEINS.
Comment (Workings): THE LOAD AT THE LEXINGTON CAN BE PUT INTO 10 CATAGORIES(1) HIGHLY SHEETED GRANITIC COUNTRY ROCK CONTAINING MANY LARGE MASSES OF PEGMATITE (2) A SERIES OF APLITE DIKES (3) A SERIES OF E-W VEINS WITH A VERY HIGH DIP (4) ALTERATION AND OXIDATION OF THE MINERALS IN THESE VEINS EXTENDING AS MUCH AS 200 FT FROM THE SURFACE (5) MOVEMENT PARALLEL TO THE COURSE OF THE VEINS BUT DIPPING IN THE REVERSE DIRECTION (6) BRECCIA VEINS (7) MOVEMENT AFTER THE FIRST MINERALIZATION AND PREVIOUS TO THE LAST (8) INCREASE IN CU IN DEPTH (9) MORE ZN THE FRTHER S THE VEINS GO (10) BANDED STRUCTURE IN THE ORES.
