Comments

Comment (Location): LOCATION APPROXIMATE ON SAN CARLOS RESERVATION

Comment (Workings): THE DEPOSIT IS EXPLORED BY A VERTICAL SHAFT ABOUT 100 FEET DEEP, TWO SHORT ADITS, AND SEVERAL CUTS AND PITS

Comment (Geology): THE HEMATITE RANGES IN COLOR FROM BLACK TO ORANGE, BUT IS COMMONLY DEEP BRICK RED; IT RANGES IN FIRMNESS FROM PULVERULENT TO COMPACT; THE COMPACT MATERIAL IS THE MOST COMMON. THE HEMATITE IS MASSIVE AND IN PLACES APPEARS TO HAVE DIRECTLY REPLACED THE LIMESTONE BRECCIA
