Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: AT THE NORTHERN AND BETTER OF THE TWO PROSPECTS A LARGE BLOCK CONTAINING ABOUT 50 TONS OF SILICEOUS ORE IS EXPOSED ON THE SURFACE. IT IS UNDERLAIN BY WELL BEDDED CHERTS AND SHALES, STRIKING N 60 E, DIP 30 S. THE OTHER PROSPECT IS 500 FT. SOUTHWEST WHERE A TRENCH EXPOSES A 3 FT. BED OF MASSIVE CHERT CUT BY A FEW VEINLETS OF MANGANESE OXIDE.
