Comment (Deposit): CLAIMS ON THIS PROPERTY INCLUDE: CONEY AND BIGELOW, BLUE JACKET; ALSO TROWBRIDGE, NUNNER AND KEENEY RANCHES. THIS MINE ON E. VEIN OF MOTHER LODE.

Comment (Geology): ASSOCIATED WITH DIORITE DIKE. ; GEOL.DESC: ORE OCCURS IN QUARTZ STRINGERS ON CONTACT OF GREENSTONE AND SLATE-SCHIST. THE MAIN VEIN AVERAGES 20 FT. IN THICKNESS, AND IT IS COVERED BY GOUGE ON THE FOOTWALL, RANGING FROM A FEW FT. TO FIFTY FT. IN THICKNESS. HIGHEST ORE GRADES FOUND IN RIBBON-QUARTZ STRUCTURES. DIORITE DIKE 4 TO 5 FT. THICK ACCOMPANIES VEIN.

Comment (Production): FIRST WORKED IN 1860'S AND UNTIL 1875; REOPENED IN 1880 AND OPERATED CONTINUOUSLY UNTIL 1914; IDLE SINCE THAT TIME. THE MINE HAS PRODUCED OVER $5,000,000 IN GOLD. THE TAILINGS ARE STILL UTILIZED BY THE AMADOR COUNTY ROAD DEPARTMENT. COPPER PRODUCTION LESS THAN 100,000 LBS. GOLD ORE WAS LOW GRADE AVERAGING LESS THAN $4 A TON PRIOR TO 1914 .

Comment (Workings): INCLINED SHAFT, 65 DEGREE, 1700 FT.; ON 1570 FT. LEVEL, 3000 FT. DRIFT, NORTH FROM SHAFT WHERE WINZE FOLLOWS VEIN, 458 FT.; ON 1730 FT. LEVEL, 350 FT. DRIFT N. ON VEIN FROM WINZE; ON 1865 FT. LEVEL, DRIFT 450 FT. NORTH.
