Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: BLACK MANGANESE OXIDE OCCURING IN CHERT ENCLOSED IN BLACK SLATE OR PHYLLITE. ORE BODIES ARE TABULAR WITH A TOTAL THICKNESS OF ABOUT 10 FT. AND ARE MOSTLY SOFT PYROLUSITE, INTERMINGLED WITH WHITE SILICA. AVE. GRADE 30 % MANGANESE.

Comment (Deposit): IN CHERT. SPECIMENS MIGHT CONTAIN 40% MN, BUT GENERAL RUN PROBABLY 30% DIP N 45 DEG. E AT 75 DEG.
