Comments

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: MANGANIFEROUS CHERT; SOME POCKETS OF LOW-GRADE SILICEOUS BLACK OXIDE. THE ORE WOULD PROBABLY NOT RUN OVER 5-10% MANGANESE. THE POCKETS OF SILICEOUS BLACK OXIDE (PYROLUSITE AND PSILOMELANE) MIGHT RUN 35% MANGANESE. OVERLAIN BY SANDSTONE,UNDERLAIN BY WELL BEDDED GREEN CHERT. OVERLAIN BY SANDSTONE,UNDERLAIN BY WELL BEDDED GREEN CHERT.

Comment (Location): LOCATED IN N 1/2 SECTION 1 ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :UNDETERMINED

Comment (Production): SEVERAL CARLOADS OF ORE PRODUCED IN 1943.

Comment (Workings): OPEN CUT 300' LONG AND AVERAGING 14' WIDE DISCLOSES THE MANGANIFEROUS CHERT BODY RATHER WELL AND THERE IS LITTLE HOPE THAT AN ORE BODY MIGHT BE FOUND
