Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: MOUNT VERNON CLAIM ONLY ONE DEVELOPED TO ANY EXTENT; VEIN STRIKES N-S, DIPS 70 DEG. E. VEIN IS A QUART-FILLED FISSURE, HAS AVERAGE WIDTH OF 8", AND SHOWS SOME PYRITE. THE FORMATION IS A RHYOLITE TUFF.
