Comment (Workings): DURING WWI THERE WERE 5 1/2 MILES OF DITCHES AND 1500 FT. OF PIPE LINES USED IN GROUND SLUICING.

Comment (Deposit): WASHED MATERIAL REMAINING ON THE GROUND IN 1954 WAS BEDROCK REMNANTS AND SOIL MANTLE AND IT IS DOUBTFUL IF THIS WAS AN OLD CHANNEL DEPOSIT.

Comment (Production): THE SCHROEDER FAMILY OPERATED ON THE GROUND DURING WWI, COVERING ABOUT 5 ACRES. MUCH OF THE GROUND WAS VERY RICH.
