Comments

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: A STEEPLY-DIPPING TACTITE BODY, 1050' LONG AND FROM 3-22' WIDE, EXTENDS ALONG A CONTACT BETWEEN GRANITE ON THE E AND A NARROW BELT OF LIMESTONE ON THE W. ABOUT 260' OF THIS BODY IS OF MINABLE WIDTH AND GRADE AND PROBABLY AVERAGES 0.8% WO3. SMALL AMOUNTS OF MOLYBDENITE IN BOTH MINES.

Comment (Production): SHIPPED A FEW HUNDRED TONS OF ORE IN FALL OF 1939 AND SUMMER OF 1940.

Comment (Workings): WORKINGS CONSIST OF 4 SHORT ADITS, A SMALL OPEN CUT, AND SEVERAL PROSPECT PITS AND TRENCHES. THIS MAY BE THE "NICHOLS" MINE WHICH SOLD TUNGSTEN IN 1962 - PER USBM MIN YB.
