Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: MANGANESE OCCURS AS MASSIVE SILICEOUS BED ENCLOSED IN THIN BEDDED RADIOLARIAN CHERTS, WHICH STRIKE AT VARYING ANGLES AND DIP 50 TO 60 NE. ORE IS SILICEOUS BLACK MANGANESE OXIDES WITH SILICA CORES AND STREAKS OF RED CHERT. THIN SEAMS OF SILICEOUS ORE ARE INTERCALATED IN ENCLOSING CHERT.
