Comment (Production): GOERING STATES THAT IN BOTTOM OF ONE OF THE SHAFTS HE STRUCK "BLACK GRAVEL" CARRYING $1.50 A TON. LESSEES IN 1929 APPARENTLY FAILED TO DEVELOP GRAVEL; THE WORK WAS NEARLY ALL IN SOFT, DECOMPOSED GRANITE SAND.

Comment (Workings): WORKED BY DRIFTING AND HYDRAULICKING IN EARLY DAYS; INCLINED SHAFTS, ONE SAID TO BE 600 FT. LEVELS, PROSPECT DRIFTS.

Comment (Deposit): THE NEOCENE GOLD, INC. WAS PROMOTED TO WORK THE MINE BUT AS THEY FAILED TO MEET A PAYMENT DUE, THEY LEFT THE PROPERTY IN THE SUMMER OF 1929 AND THE EQUIPMENT WAS ATTACHED BY CREDITORS.
