Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: POCKETS AND VEINLETS OF MANGANESE OXIDE OCCURRING IN BUFF COLORED, FINELY CRYSTALLINE LIMESTONE, AND INTERBEDDED WITH QUARTZITE AND QUARTZ-MICA SCHIST. THE LIMESTONE STRIKES N. 75 E., AND DIPS 65 N. ORE SEEMS TO BE LOCALIZED BY CROSS FISSURES STRIKING ABOUT N, AND SOME IRREGULAR POCKETS OCCUR ALONG THE FISSURES. ORE IS PARTLY BOTRYOIDAL PSILOMELANE TYPE, PARTLY A SOFT CRYSTALLINE MINERAL RESEMBLING PYROLUSITE, AND PARTLY SOFT BLACK IMPURE MANGANESE OXIDE. SOME GYPSUM IS PRESENT.
