Comment (Geology): ORE HOSTED IN FRANCISCAN COMPLEX--L. TO L. ; GEOL.DESC: 2 ORE BEDS LIE IN CHERT MORE THAN 200 FT IN THICKNESS WHICH STRIKES N. W. AND DIPS FROM 30 TO 90 S. W. IN PLACES THE BEDS ARE FOLDED. THE TWO ORE BODIES ARE 125 FT. APART. THE LOWEST OR EAST ONE IS 800 FT. LONG, MAXIMUM THICKNESS OF 35 FT, AND CONSISTS OF 1 TO 16 FT. OF HIGH GRADE ORE AT BASE WITH 2 TO 30 OF DISSEMINATED ORE ABOVE. UPPER ORE BODY IS 125 FT. LONG, 100 FT. MAXIMUM WIDTH, AND 4 FT. MAXIMUM THICKNESS. 2 STEEP ANGLE FAULTS HAVE CAUSED THE BLACK BETWEEN THE FAULTS TO BE DISPLACED 200 FT. TO THE W. MANY MINOR FAULTS ARE PRESENT.
