Comments

Comment (Location): LOCATED IN S 1/2 NE 1/4 SECTION 8

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: ORE OCCURS IN 30 FT. THICK LENS OF THIN-BEDDED RED CHALCEDONIC CHERT WITH THIN SHALY PARTINGS. IT IS UNDERLAIN AND OVERLAIN BY GREENSTONE. UPPER GREENSTONE IS IN CONTACT WITH SERPENTINE ON THE SURFACE. FOLDING CAUSES LOCAL CHANGES IN STRIKE, AND FAULTING CAUSES SMALL OFFSETS. ORE OCCURS AS 2 BODIES, SEPARATED BY FAULTING. MAIN BODY TO THE N. IS ABOUT 100 FT. LONG AND 3 FT. THICK. ESTIMATED DEPTH IS 20 FT. SMALLER LENS OUTCROPS INTERMITTENTLY OVER 50 FT. PRIMARY ORE IS FINELY BANDED CHALCEDONIC MATERIAL, OFTEN CONTAINING THIN BANDS OF TAN RHODOCHROSITE, AND BANDS OF GRANULAR BEMENTITE.
