WIDE AT N. END, IS SILICEOUS AND CONSISTS OF BLACK OXIDE ORE CONTAINING NUMEROUS CORES OF IRON STAINED SILICA SKELETONS. S. PART OF ORE BODY IS LESS SILICEOUS. NO. 1 IS A BODY OF LOW GRADE SILICEOUS ORE. ORE IS IN THIN-BEDDED CHERT, SEPARATED BY SOFT SHALE PARTINGS. MANGANESE IS PRESENT IN VEINLETS AND AS IMPREGNATIONS IN CHERT.
