Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: AREA IS UNDERLAIN PRINCIPALLY BY PERIDOTITE THAT HAS BEEN ALTERED LOCALLY TO SERPENTINITE, WHICH CONTAINS LENSES OF CHROMITE-BEARING DUNITE. LYING ON THE SERPENTINITE IS A MANTLE OF NICKEL-BEARING RED LATERITIC SOIL WHICH RANGES UP TO 25 FT. IN DEPTH.
