Comment (Workings): SOUTH OR MAIN SHAFT ON VEIN TO DEPTH OF 2000 FT. ON 6 DEGREE INCLINE; SECOND SHAFT 1000 FT NORTH ON VEIN 400 FT.; LEVELS WITH DRIFTS EVERY 100 FT. LATER DEVELOPMENT IN 1921 PROVED WORTHLESS.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: SERPENTINE FOOTWALL, SLATE ON HANGING WALL. VEIN AS THICK AS 70 FT BETWEEN HOST ROCKS, BUT ORE VEIN ON FOOTWALL SIDE OF CONTACT, SEPARATED BY THIN LAYER OF GONGE; VEIN AVERAGES 20 FT IN THICKNESS; SAME ORE VEIN MINED IN N.W. AJOINING RAPPAHANNOCK CLAIM.
