ANOTHER DIKE DEPOSIT THOROUGHLY DECOMPOSED, SANDY TEXTURE, RED-YELLOW COLOR, WITH SEAMS OF QUARTZ UP TO 1 IN. THICK, STAINED BY GOLD-BEARING MANGANESE OXIDES. LENSES AND BUNCHES OF DECOMPOSED SCHIST STAINED BY MARIPOSITE AND THICKLY PITTED WITH IRON OXIDE, DERIVED FROM PYRITE. ALSO PATCHES OF PARTLY ALTERED SLATE. FOOTWALL CONSISTS OF SERPENTINE. DIKE IS 1800 FT. LONG AND ABOUT 80 FT. THICK. TO SE, IT IS COVERED BY 'LAVA COBBLES', SUPPOSEDLY UNDERLAIN BY A GRAVEL CHANNEL.|
