Comments

Comment (Production): ORE GRADE RANGED FROM .3% WO3 TO 2.5%. SOME POCKETS HAD UP TO 20% WO3. SCHEELITE CONCENTRATES FROM SOME LOCATIONS HAD UP TO 4 OZ. AG PER TON. FOR PRODUCTION RECORDS, SEE THE CHIEF MINE REPORT, WHICH LISTS THE ENTIRE DISTRICT REPORT. NO BREAKDOWN AVAILABLE . THIS PRODUCTION LISTED MAY INCLUDE ORE FROM OTHER MINES IN THE DISTRICT.

Comment (Deposit): ORIOLE VEIN IS EXPOSED FOR 2000 FT ALONG STRIKE AND IS MOSTLY BARREN EXCEPT FOR SOME COARSELY CRYSTALLINE SCHEELITE ON THE CREST OF THE HILL ABOVE THE MINE AND SOME LOW-GRADE MINERALIZATION IN THE FIRST SEGMENT OF THE VEIN EXPOSED EAST OF CHIEF CANYON. SCHEELITE IS VERY FINE GRAINED IN QUARTZ.

Comment (Workings): 2 SHORT ADITS AT WEST END AND ABOUT 1000 FT OF DRIFTS CROSSCUTS, RAISES, STOPES. 3 SHALLOW DRILLHOLES IN 2 FAULTED SEGMENTS EAST OF THE MINE.

Comment (Geology): THE SCHEELITE OCCURS MAINLY IN COARSE CRYSTAL AGGREGATES OR IN VEINLETS IN QUARTZ ALONG FAULTS

Comment (Location): INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1982)

Comment (Development): THIS IS THE LEAST DEVELOPED OF THE MAJOR VEINS OF THE DISTRICT. USBM DRILLED THE EAST ORIOLE AREA IN 1940-1943.

Comment (Reserve-Resource): MARGINAL ORE IN 1944
