AT TIME OF EXAMINATION IN 1983, THERE WAS NO ACTIVITY, BUT THERE WERE SIGNS OF RECENT SAMPLING OF DUMPS (FLAGGING) AND DRILL ROADS ABOUT 5 YEARS OLD.

Comment (Geology): CRUSTIFIED EPITHERMAL QUARTZ VEIN, WITH CHALCEDONIC AND COMB QUARTZ, YELLOWISH ANDULARIA, LAMELLAR CARBONATE

Comment (Deposit): 7 VEINS ON THE PROPERTY; 4 HAD BEEN EXPLORED BY 1912: HORSESHOE VEIN, OLNEY VEIN, BARBARA VEIN, WEST VEIN. VEIN WALLS ARE NOT WELL DEFINED ABOVE 250 FT, BUT ARE WELL-DEFINED BELOW THAT. VEINS HAVE A TALC SELVAGE. DUMPS ARE MAINLY COMPOSED OF GREENISH ALTERED ANDESITE, QUARTZ-CEMENTED ANDESITE BRECCIA, QUARTZ BRECCIA, QUARTZ (ADULARIA) VEIN, AND CALCITE VEIN. THE ANDESITES ARE PROPYLITIZED AND PYRITIZED. MORE THOROUGHLY ALTERED SAMPLES ARE BLEACHED, ARGILLIZED AND IRON-STAINED. ANDESITE BRECCIA IS COMMONLY CEMENTED WITH QUARTZ, CALCITE, OR QUARTZ AFTER CALCITE. ABUNDANT QUARTZ VEIN MATERIAL IS FOUND ON THE DUMPS. IN GENERAL, THE VEINS RANGE IN APPEARANCE FROM CRUSTIFORM FISSURE FILLINGS TO MASSIVE PRISMATIC OR SUGARY BANDED VEINS WITH SMALL VUGS AND CAVITIES FILLED WITH DRUSY QUARTZ, CLINE-GRAINED QUARTZ VEIN MATERIAL HAS A SUGARY TEXTURE OR IS COMPOSED OF BANDED CHALCEDONIC QUARTZ AND HAS A LIGHT GREEN COLOR POSSIBLY IMPARTED BY THE ADDITION OF FLUORITE OR TOURMALINE. VEIN WIDTHS

Comment (Deposit): RANGE FROM LESS THAN ONE INCH TO SEVERAL FEET ACROSS WITH THE MORE MASSIVE VEINS GENERALLY WIDER THAN THE OPEN-CENTERED FISSURE VEINS AND VEINLETS. THE VEIN MATERIAL CONTAINS CLOTS OF OXIDIZED SULFIDES, MOSTLY PYRITE AND POSSIBLY MINOR CHALCOPYRITE.

Comment (Workings): 3 SHAFTS, ONE 400 FT DEEP WITH 4 LEVELS AT 100, 200, 300 AND 400 FT. EAST CROSSCUT FROM THE 200 FT LEVEL. REMAINS OF MILL WITH ROCK FOUNDATION. LARGE TAILINGS PILE IN DRAINAGE SOUTH OF SHAFTS, DRILL ROADS.
