Comment (Deposit): Discovery Year: 1904 OR 1907

Comment (Development): ORIGINAL DEVELOPMENT WAS A PIT, "PIT D", IN 1907-1908; MINE WAS THEN IDLE TO 1915. THE GREATER PART OF THE UNDERGROUND WORK WAS DONE FROM 1915-1917. TWO ADITS WERE DRIVEN AND A PLANT, FOR CONVERTING THE STIBNITE INTO WHITE SB OXIDE TO BE USED IN MANUFACTORE OF BATHTUB ENAMELS, WAS BUILT. SOME SHIPPING OF HIGH-GRADE STIBNITE ALSO TOOK PLACE. TO OBTAIN WATER FOR THE PLANT A 321 FT WELL WAS DRILLED (NO STIBNITE WAS ENCOUNTERED). BY 1918 THE PROPERTY HAD BEEN SHUT DOWN. IN 1920 SIX CLAIMS COVERING THE PROPERTY WERE BROUGHT TO PATENT, EVEN THOUGH ALL THE WORKINGS AND THE MINERALIZED AREA WERE ON ONE CLAIM, THE LUCKY KNOCK. AFTER 1921 THE WORKINGS CAVED. IN 1941 WHITESTONE MINES, INC. BOUGHT THE PROPERTY AND OBTAINED A QUITCLAIM DEED. ORE WAS SHIPPED IN 1941 TO HARSHAW CHEMICAL CO. IN LOS ANGELES. IN 1948 E.A. MAGILL OBTAINED A LEASE AND CLEANED UP THE WORKINGS. HE BEGAN PRODUCTION IN SPRING OF 1949, AND IN SEPT. 1950 ACQUIRED TITLE TO THE PROPERTY. LIMITED PRODUCTION IN 1967 BY LUCKY KNOCK
