Comment (Deposit): THE MINNIE MOORE VEIN IS IN ARGILLITIC ROCKS OF THE MILLIGEN FORMATION CLOSE TO SEVERAL LIMESTONE MEMBERS A SHORT DISTANCE UNDER A SILL-LIKE BODY OF DIORITE. MAIN ORE BODY CUT BY MINNIE MOORE FAULT-OFFSET. ORE HAS NOT BEEN FOUND ALTHOUGH EXPLORED FOR EXTENSIVELY

Comment (Workings): THE TWO MINES HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED FROM 4 SHAFTS AND TWO ADITS BUT NOW ARE ACCESSIBLE VIA CROSSCUTS FROM A VERTICAL SHAFT. BOTH MINES DEVELOPED ON SAME VEIN SYSTEM. SEVERAL VEIN BRANCHES SEPARATED BY AS MUCH AS 100 FT BARREN GROUND. SEVERAL MI OF WORKINGS.

Comment (Commodity): ORE BODIES OCCUR AS SEPARATE LENSES ALONG THE VEINS. THE TWO MINES ARE DEVELOPED ON EXTENSIONS OF THE SAME VEINS.

Comment (Production): DATA INCOMPLETE; CONSIDERABLE PRODUCTION PRIOR TO 1902 AND AFTER 1959 PRODUCTION. . ESTIMATED TOTAL PRODUCTION OF SILVER STAR QUEENS BETWEEN 1884-1890 WAS $2,500,000. PRODUCTION YEARS INTERMITTENT 1902 - 1926 , 1941 - 1944 , 1947 , 1952 - 1959 PRODUCTION YEARS 1902 - 1926 , 1941 - 1944 , 1947 , 1952 - 1959.

Comment (Development): MINE WAS CLOSED IN 1970. RECORDS OF LATTER YEARS DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION INCOMPLETE. . A 1968 DDH AT SILVER STAR QUEENS INDICATES THAT THE VEIN CONTINUES DOWN DIP 1000 FT. 20 PATENTED AND 20 UNPATENTED CLAIMS.
