Comments

Comment (Deposit): THIS RECORD HAS BEEN MERGED WITH M242703, WHICH HAS BEEN DELETED.

Comment (Location): ON EAST FLANK OF NIGHTINGALE RANGE ABOUT 0.5 TO 1 MILE SOUTHWEST OF SAGE HEN SPRING. UTM TAKEN FROM SAMPLE MEX SITE. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)

Comment (Commodity): TUNGSTEN, COPPER, AND URANIUM OCCUR, BUT TOO LOW GRADE TO BE ECONOMIC

Comment (Deposit): YELLOW URANIUM MINERAL OCCURS AS FRACTURE COATINGS IN A BASALT DIKE CUTTING GRANITE. FRACTURE ZONE IN GRANODIORITE. EVIDENCE IS THAT URANIUM WAS INTRODUCED WITH CHALCOPYRITE ALONG FRACTURES CONTAINING PYRITE. THE URANIUM DEPOSIT IS CLOSELY RELATED TO AND OF SAME AGE AS TACTITE UNITS. THE URANIUM MAY HAVE BEEN IN TACTITE, THEN LEACHED AND CARRIED DOWN DIP ALONG FRACTURES IN THE GRANODIORITE UNTIL REDUCED AND DEPOSITED BY PYRITE.

Comment (Workings): A NUMBER OF DOZER CUTS. MOST CUTS ARE APPARENTLY FOR TUNGSTEN.
