Comments

Comment (Production): PRODUCTION FOR 1951 UNKNOWN. ORE PARTICULARLY SUITED TO REFACTORY PURPOSES BECAUSE OF LOW IRON, SILICA CONTENT AND HIGH ALUMINUM, MAGNESIUM CONTENT.

Comment (Reserve-Resource): ESTIMATION OF RESERVES IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE BECAUSE NO ORE WAS SEEN IN PLACE WHEN VISITED BY STINSON IN 1975.

Comment (Deposit): PRIMARY ORE BODIES OCCUR ALONG A PROMINENT SHEAR ZONE WITH ABOVE ATTITUDES.

Comment (Workings): WORKINGS CONSISTED (1953) OF 3 OPEN CUTS AND SEVERAL THOUSAND FEET OF UNDERGROUND OPENINGS EXTENDING EASTWARD FROM 4 PORTALS IN THE OPEN CUTS. IN 1975 ONLY WORKINGS VISIBLE WERE PORTALS 2 AND 3.

Comment (Geology): THE SERPENTINE SILL-LIKE INTRUSION WHICH CONTAINS THE CHROMITE, STRIKES NW, DIPS STEEPLY NE AND IS APPROX 400 M WIDE IN THE VICINITY OF THE MINE.
