Comment (Deposit): FIRST STAKED IN 1859, IT HAD ONLY LOW GRADE ORE IN 1864 AND WAS NOT MINED. ACTIVITY RESUMED IN 1872, WITH MINING OF LOW-GRADE ORE. FURTHER DEVELOPMENT EXPOSED NO NEW ORE SO WORK STOPPED IN 1883. NEW WORK IN 1889-SUSPENDED IN 1893. ANOTHER ATTEMPT IN 1924-1926 WAS MADE TO EXPLORE IT FROM THE SUTRO TUNNEL. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT

Comment (Development): LOW-GRADE ORE IN 1864 WITH NONE MINED. LOW-GRADE ORE MINED IN 1872. WORK CEASED IN 1883 WITH EXHAUSTION OF ORE. PROPERTY WORKED AGAIN FROM 1889-1893. ANOTHER ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO EXPLORE IT IN 1924-1926, FROM THE SURTO TUNNEL.
