Comments

Comment (Workings): OPEN PIT OPERATIONS

Comment (Geology): STRUCTURAL RELATIONSHIPS HERE ARE COMPLICATED AND THE BEDS MAY ACTUALLY EXTEND UNDER THE GRANODIORITE AT DEPTH

Comment (Deposit): THE ORPHAN WORKINGS ARE LOCATED ON SMALL SEGMENTS OF THE SUTTON BED THAT WERE BROKEN UP BY FAULTING NORTH OF THE SOUTH SUTTON MINE. IT CONSISTS OF OPEN PIT OPERATIONS. NOW UNDER DEVELOPMENT BY UTAH INTERNATIONAL AND IS NOW CALLED THE SPRINGER MINE WHICH INCLUDES THE NORTH SUTTON, SOUTH SUTTON, UNCLE SAM, AND BAKER MINES. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT

Comment (Production): KLEPPER (1943) CREDITS THE ORPHAN AREA WITH PRODUCTION OF ABOUT 10000 TONS OF ORE CONTAINING 0.75 % WO3 TO THE TIM-E OF THAT REPORT. OTHER PRODUCTION WAS COMBINED WITH THAT OF T-HE SUTTON MINES.

Comment (Deposit): SMALL SEGMENTS OF THE SUTTON BED THAT WERE BROKEN UP BY FAULTING NORTH OF THE SOUTH SUTTON MINES
