Comment (Deposit): THE SUTTON (SOUTH) MINE IS LOCATED IN THE SUTTON BELT WHICH CONSISTS OF TWO PARALLEL LIMESTONE BEDS ABOUT 40 FT APART. ALSO LOCATED ON THIS BELT ARE THE NORTH SUTTON, UNCLE SAM, AND BAKER WORKINGS. THE SOUTH SUTTON IS OPENED BY 950-FOOT ADIT ALONG THE BEDS, INCLINED SHAFT, AND DRIFTS ON THE 100 & 200 LEVELS. MINING EXTENDED NORTH TO THE FRACTURED AREA NEAR THE SPRINGER STOCK CONTACT, & SOUTH TO THE LIMIT OF MINERALIZATION, NEAR STANK CANYON. NOW UNDER DEVELOPMENT BY UTAH INTERNATIONAL AND IS NOW CALLED SPRINGER MINE INCLUDING NORTH SUTTON, BAKER, UNCLE SAM, ORPHAN. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT

Comment (Workings): OPENED BY A 950-FT ADIT, INCLINED SHAFT AND DRIFTS ON THE 100-FT AND 200-FT LEVELS. MINING EXTENDED NORTH TO THE FRACTURED AREA NEAR THE SPRINGER STOCK CONTACT AND SOUTH TO THE LIMIT OF MINERALIZATION.

Comment (Geology): BETWEEN SOUTH SUTTON MINE AND SPRINGER STOCK. THE SUTTON BEDS ARE BROKEN INTO MANY SMALL SEGMENTS BY FAULTING.
