Comment (Development): EARLY PROSPECT WORKINGS FROM 1920'S OR 1930'S. A TRIAL SHIPMENT OF 946 LBS ORE WAS MADE IN AUGUST, 1965. NUMEROUS BULLDOZER ROADS,RECENTLY GRADED (1984)

Comment (Deposit): SEVEN UNPATENTED LODE MINING CLAIMS WERE LOCATED IN 1963. DEVELOPMENT CONSISTS OF OLD SHALLOW PROSPECT WORKINGS DONE IN 1920'S OR EARLY 1930'S. TRENCHES MADE IN 1965 BY TRI-METALS CO AND A TRIAL SHIPMENT OF 946 LBS SORTED ORE WAS MADE IN AUGUST 1965. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV

Comment (Workings): TRENCHES, PROSPECT PITS. SEVERAL OLDER ADITS AND PITS, NUMEROUS BULLDOZER ROADS (MORE RECENT) NORTH OF THE CHERRY CREEK DRAINAGE AREA. SO-ME OF THE ROADS HAVE BEEN RECENTLY GRADED, (1984). DRILL HOLES

Comment (Geology): A WNW MINERALIZED FAULT ("BARRITE-VEIN") CUTS THROUGH THE GRABEN OF FAVRET FORMATION. NORTH OF THIS MINERALIZED FAULT, 6 TO 10 VEINS VARYING FROM A FEW INCHES TO 3 FEET WIDE STRIKE N25W AND DIPS 55SW. SOUTH OF THE MINERALIZED FAULT A STRONG VEIN-GOSSAN 7 FT. WIDE STRIKES N25W & DIPS 50SW.

Comment (Deposit): JASPEROID, BARITE, GOSSAN, AND LOCALLY REMNANTS OF PYRITE OCCUR IN IRREGULAR VEINLIKE BODIES. SOME GOSSAN-RICH SIL-IFICIED ZONES STAND OUT AS RIBS ON THE SURFACE. THE UPPER SLOP-E OF THE HILL HERE IS PREDOMINANTLY GRAY DOLOMITE, WHILE THE L-OWER ADIT HAS ITS PORTAL IN TUFFACEOUS SANDSTONE AND CONGLOMER-ATE. THE BARITE VEINS AND STOCKWORKS AND THE JASPEROID ZONES S-EEM TO TREND N OR NE, NEAR VERTICAL TO 60W. SOME GOSSAN-BARITE--JASPEROID ZONES ARE 1 M OR MORE WIDE. HEMIMORPHITE IS REPORTE-D BY PAPKE (1984)
