Comments

Comment (Geology): THE ORE LODE IS A VEIN ALONG THE FAULT CONTACT BETW/ RHYOLITE AND OVERLYING ANDESITE. THE VEIN IS A ZONE OF CRUSHED SILICIFIED FE-STAINED RHYOLITE FROM 5 TO 15 FT. WIDE. THE FOOTWALL IS THE FAULT SLICKENSLIDE. A CROSS VEIN IN THE RHYOLITE HAS BEEN DEVELOPED FOR A SHORT DISTANCE. MOST OF THE ORE IS OXIDIZED, BUT SULPHIDES (GOLD ASSOC. W/PYRITE) ARE PRESENT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE MINE.

Comment (Deposit): DEVELOPEMENT CONSISTS OF TWO SHAFTS, NUMBEROUS DRIFTS, ADITS, AND SMALL OPEN PITS. SIRDEVAN IN HIS 1913 REPORT HAS BOTH A MINE MAP AND A PROPERTY MAP. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT

Comment (Deposit): VEIN, FAULT ZONE BEARING AURIFEROUS PYRITE & ARGENTITE

Comment (Workings): 2 SHAFTS, NUMBEROUS DRIFTS, ADITS AND SMALL OPEN PITS
