Comment (Geology): LENS OF METAMORPHOSED CALCAREOUS SEDIMENTS IS 300-500 FT WIDE, TRENDING NW FOR ABOUT 1000 FT. OR MORE. ALTERATION IS IRREGULAR; IN PLACES, LIMESTONE IS COMPLETELY REPLACED BY GARNET. WHERE THE ALTERATION IS INCOMPLETE, FORMATIONS ARE FRACTURED AND SEAMED WITH STRINGERS OF QUARTZ. SCHEELITE OCCURS IN THE QUARTZ SEAMS, IS SPARSELY DISSEMINATED IN THE SILICIFIED LIMESTONES AND OCCURS ONLY AS OCCASIONAL FLECKS IN THE GARNET.
