Comment (Location): IN SUGARLOAF CANYON, 1/4 MILE SOUTH OF SUGARLOAF PEAK. 3 1/2 AIR MILES S 15 E FROM TOWN OF MOUNT MONTGOMERY. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1972

Comment (Development): IN 1915, IT WAS EQUIPPED WITH A CYANIDE PLANT (10-STAMP) OF 50 TONS CAPACITY. 4 UNPATENTED CLAIMS. THE MINE WAS WORKED FROM 1913 TO 1915 BY THE ATKINS-KROLL CO. OF SAN FRANCISCO, WHO BUILT THE MILL. DRILLING PROJECT ON THE SITE IN THE PAST 1-2 YEARS (1982) HAS EXPLORED HANGING WALL AND FOOTWALL OF VEIN STRUCTURE TO SW ALONG STRIKE.

Comment (Production): $130,000 IN GOLD HAD BEEN PRODUCED BY 1918. IN 1940, IT WAS ESTIMATED THAT 5000 TONS OF MILLING ORE COULD BE DERIVED FROM THE DUMP AND WORKINGS, RUNNING $6.00 TO $9.34/TON AT THAT TIME.

Comment (Deposit): 2 VEINS; LAMELLAR QUARTZ, BANDED, WITH FINE-GRAINED BLACK SULFIDES AS THIN CRUSTIFICATIONS. WALL ROCK IS SILICIFIED, BRECCIATED LATITE. VEIN OUTCROP ON RIDGE IS HIGHLY SILICIFIED; SHEETING AND VEINING ALONG N 30 E STRUCTURE
