Comments

Comment (Deposit): QUARTZ VEIN WITH PITS AND TRENCHES DUG ON IT. ADIT IN MULE SPRINGS LIMESTONE; DISSEMINATED GALENA AND SPHALERITE PRESENT IN MARBLE. GARNET-PYROXEIVE TACTITE PRESENT IN THE SAME HORIZON FURTHER WEST. VERY LARGE ZONED GARNET, SOME COPPER OXIDE IN TACTITE. SOME WORKINGS APPEAR TO BE ALONG A N-TRENDING THRUST FAULT WHICH JUXTAPOSES CAMBRIAN CAMPITO FORMATION OVER CAMBRIAN MULE SPRINGS LIMESTONE. MINERALIZATION OCCURS AS SULFIDES DISSEMINATED THROUGHOUT QUARTZITE/MUDSTONE AND IN BRECCIA. ROCKS ARE HEAVILY FE-STAINED. ORE IS LOCALLY SILICIFIELD. CRYSTALLINE APLITIC DIKES CUT HOST ROCKS, WHICH ALSO CARRY FRESH PYRITE AND CHALCOPYRITE. QUARTZ VEIN MATERIAL WITH CALCITE OBSERVED.

Comment (Workings): SEVERAL SHAFTS, ADITS, SURFACE CUTS, TRENCHES AND PITS; ROADS REPAIRED

Comment (Geology): LAMPROPHYRE SILL OCCURS ON RIDGECREST, BUT HAS NO OBVIOUS ASSOCIATION WITH THE MINERALIZATION.

Comment (Development): ASSESSMENT WORK DONE BY SWANSONS SINCE 1968 AND IS CURRENT.

Comment (Location): RECOMMENDED ACCESS IS FROM THE NORTH FROM U.S. HIGHWAY 95. UNSURVEYED AREA. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)
