Comments

Comment (Location): ON NORTH SIDE OF CHUKAR CANYON. UTM IS FOR SAMPLE SITE 3866. UTM FOR SAMPLE SITE 3867 IS N 4339720 E 384160. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)

Comment (Development): AREA WAS STAKED IN 1976 AND AGAIN IN 1980 BY C.W. HENDERSON OF FALLON; CLAIMS NOW INVALID; NO ACTIVITY WHEN EXAMINED IN 1986.

Comment (Deposit): PROSPECTING HAS OCCURRED ALONG MARGINS OF DIKES WHICH CUT GRANITE. SAMPLE 3866 IS FROM A SMALL ADIT (15 FT LONG) AND INCLINE WHICH CUTS A N 65 E, 55 NW SHEAR ZONE, ALTERED, IN GRANITE. LIMITED MINERALIZATION ALSO FOLLOWS FRACTURES OUT INTO THE COUNTRY ROCK. THE SAMPLE WAS COLLECTED FROM THE DUMPS AND CHIPPED FROM THE EXPOSED VEIN AND CONSISTED OF MINOR COPPER AND YELLOW GREEN OXIDES COATING BASE METAL SULFIDES. A SHORT DISTANCE TO THE NORTHEAST, A SMALL PROSPECT EXPLORES A NW-TRENDING STRUCTURE NEAR A PARALLEL ANDESITE DIKE. THE WORKINGS ARE ON THE OLD HENDERSON CLAIMS. SAMPLE 3867, TAKEN FROM THE EXPOSED VEIN WAS PRIMARILY MASSIVE HEMATITE AND MINOR BASE METAL SULFIDES.

Comment (Workings): SMALL ADIT, INCLINE AND PROSPECTS
