Comment (Geology): MINERALIZED ROOF PENDANT IS LESS THAN 600 FEET IN DIAMETER. APLITE DIKES TREND EAST-WEST AND NORTH-SOUTH.

Comment (Development): TWO LARGE-SIZE ADITS 65 FT LOGN ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE HILL, AND AN ADIT ON THE EAST SIDE. THE CONTACT WAS EXPLORED BY BULLDOZER SHIPPING AND SEVERAL WAGON-DRILL HOLES. MOST OF THE LOW-GRADE ORE IS STOCKPILED.

Comment (Deposit): BALDY PEAK IS AN ISOLATED LIMESTONE ROOF PENDANT AT THE NORTHWEST RIM O AMASSA VALLEY. THE PENDANT IS ENTIRELY SURROUNDED BY GRANITE (NOTCH PEAK INTRUSION) AND HAS BEEN PENETRATED BY APLITE DIKES. TACTITE ZONES OCCUR IN LIMESTONE AT THE GRANITE CONTACT. THE LIMESTONE BEDS DIP 20 TO 25 DEGREES SW. SCHEELITE OCCURS AS FINELY DISSEMINATED GRAINS IRREGULARLY DISTRIBUTED IN THE TACTITE ZONE WHICH MAY BE TRACED ON THE SURFACE IN AN IRREGULAR BLOCK ABOUT 375 FEET LONG AND 180 FT WIDE. MOST OF THE COMMERCIAL ORE IS IN THE GARNETIFEROUS TACTITE.

Comment (Workings): THE PROPERTY HAS BEEN DEVELOPED BY TWO LARGE-SIZED ADITS 65 FEET LONG ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE HILL AND BY AN ADIT ON THE EAST SIDE. THE CONTACT WAS EXPLORED BY BULLDOZER STRIPPING AND NINE WAGON-DRILL HOLES.

Comment (Location): LOCATION OF MINE GIVEN BY PETERSON, 1976 AND EVERETT, 1961. SOME CONFUSION AS TO ITS LOCATION EXISTS BECAUSE ITS CITED LOCATION COINCIDES WITH A PEAK LABELED PINE PEAK ON THE 15 MINUTE TOPOGRAPHIC MAP. THE TOPO MAP IS IN ERROR.

Comment (Production): ABOUT 4,000 TONS OF LOW-GRADE ORE WAS MINED BETWEEN 1954 AND 1955, AND WAS STOCKPILED AT THE WORKINGS.
