Comments

Comment (Development): TENNECO MINERALS BEGAN OPERATION IN SEPTEMBER, 1989, AND PRODUCED 4468 OZ OF AU IN 1990 BEFORE BEING CLOSED AT MID-YEAR DUE TO A VARIETY OF PROBLEMS. IT IS REPORTED THAT THE PROPERTY HAS POTENTIAL FOR UNDERGROUND DEVELOPMENT WHERE A LARGER AND HIGHER GRADE REFRACTORY OREBODY IS PRESENT BUT CANNOT BE MINED BY OPEN PIT METHODS. GRADE AND TONNAGE FIGURES HAVE NOT BEEN PUBLISHED.

Comment (Deposit): THIS IS ONE OF THREE DEPOSITS EXPLORED BY TENNECO MINERALS WHICH COMPRISE THE FONDAWAY CANYON MINE. SEE RECORDS M242934 (COLORADO DEPOSIT) AND RE00273 (REED DEPOSIT) FOR THE OTHER TWO.

Comment (Location): PREVIOUS QUAD DESIGNATION = RENO (1971) 1:250000
