DEVELOPMENT CONSISTED OF MORE THAN 1500 FEET OF ADITS, SHAFTS, AND CROSSCUTS. THE PROPERTY IS ON PATENTED MINING CLAIMS (MOEN, 1980, P. 38). ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
Comment (Production): THE POLAND CHINA WAS DISCOVERED IN 1896. A 25-TON/DAY MILL WAS ERECTED IN 1907 WHICH PRODUCED A SMALL SHIPMENT IN 1914. OVERTOP MINING CO. SHIPPED 168 TONS OF CONCENTRATE CONTAINING 72 OZ OF AU AND 70 OZ OF AG IN 1933-34. FROM 1937 TO 1939, 11 CARLOADS OF SILICEOUS ORE ASSAYING 0.37 OZ/TON AU WERE SHIPPED TO THE SMELTER IN TRAIL, BRITISH COLUMBIA. MINING CEASED IN 1939 (MOEN, 1980, P. 35-37).
Comment (Geology): THE VEIN IS IN GRAPHITIC ARGILLITE OF THE PERMIAN SPECTACLE FORMATION OF THE ANARCHIST GROUP (MOEN, 1980).
