Comment (Deposit): ORE DEPOSITION PROBABLY OCCURRED IN MORE THAN TWO STAGES. THOSE DEPOSITS WITH EXTENSIVE TOURMALINE PROBABLY FORMED AT HIGH TEMPERATURES.

Comment (Production): ITEM 17 FROM AN ESTIMATE OF 30000 CUBIC YDS OF EARTH. ITEM 23 FROM 38919 TONS OF ORE. LIMESTONE HAS BEEN QUARRIED. AROUND 1900 THE SEASONAL OUTPUT OF LIME IS REPORTED TO BE 125000 BUSHELS OF 80 POUNDS.

Comment (Deposit): THE VEINS IN THE QUARTZ MONZONITE STRIKE N65-20E AND DIP STEEPLY SOUTH. WHEREVER THE VEINS CROSSED FROM THE QUARTZ MONZONITE INTO THE VOLCANIC ROCKS THEY CONSTRICTED INTO NARROW VEINLETS. VEINS IN THE CRETACEOUS ROCKS ARE VERY SIMILAR TO THOSE IN THE QUARTZ MONZONITE.

Comment (Workings): BIG DICK (EVENING STAR) MINE. ELEVEN DESCRIBED MINES. THE MAJOR VEINS DO NOT FOLLOW ANY PARTICULAR DIP ANGLE. BLANKET VEIN IS THE LARGEST PRODUCER

Comment (Geology): SEDIMENTS STRIKE N-S DIP 20 DEG W OUTCROPPING ROCKS IN THIS DISTRICT INCLUDE SEDIMENTARY ROCKS OF MISSISSIPPIAN THROUGH CRETACEOUS AGE, VOLCANIC ROCKS OF CRETACEOUS AND TERTIARY AGE, AND INTRUSIVE ROCKS OF THE BOULDER BATHOLITH. 4 FAULT SYSTEMS: N30-60E AND N80E ARE PRE-RA N70 FOUR FAULT SYSTEMS
